Sorry I haven't blogged in a long while, but life has caught up with me once again. I've been busy with school and now work. I graduated from CNA school in August and was licensed in September and began LVN/LPN school in September. I finished the first semester at or near the top of my class. Second semester is rapidly coming to a close and I'm hoping that I'm still near the top of my class. I recently started working as a CNA at Del Sol Medical Center in Telemetry here in El Paso.

Jerry is retiring from the Army in the fall. He'll be attending school starting in with CNA school in November followed by LVN/LPN school in January 2011. I know he'll do well and as he is a very brillant and intelligent man. I also know that he'll make a great nurse as he is so compassant and caring, with a big heart.

The kids are growing like weeds as you can tell from the pictures. G-1 is excelling in 1st grade. It looks like S-3 will be repeating the 3rd grade as he's just not applying himself, I know he can do the work, he's just not doing it. S-2 is doing well in 5th grade, he loves orchestra and has taken well to playing the viola. S-1 has adjusted well to the roll of a middle schooler, 6th grade has been a hard adjustment but I'm proud of him. He loves band and choir and has excelled at both of them, he's playing the trombone and loves to sing, he's in the school's competition choir. He's also excelling in math and science as usual. BabyGirl is now a freshman in college, where has the time gone. She is currently majoring in marketing with a minor in fashion merchandising. She's learning the hard way that college studying isn't the same as high school, but she's making the adjustment, slowly but surely. Hopefully next year will be easier for her.

All in all, life is good, full of major changes for us in the near future, moving out of post housing, new schools for the kids, retirement and school for Jerry, graduation and promotion from CNA to LVN for me. It's going to be tough on all of us. But like a friend said yesterday, I'm like a tea bag, put me in hot water and I'm only going to get stronger.
